After every 45 minutes of constant-hardcore-jam-studying, i would give myself 15 minutes break. i would use usually the opportune moment to pump in an extra dose of concentrated caffeine and smoke up a stick of nikotine. But heck, my cig ran out on my last 15 minutes break, so here you have me, typing on what monstrosity i will be facing in less than 5 hours time.

As you have most definitely have heard, AHMC 1144 Chinese Writing for the Mass Media is but my final obstacle which renders me from obtaining my Diploma. Sad to say that, to most students that choose to face it, defeated it without breaking a sweat.
*i drowned in my own sweat, if you were wondering how i died the last 6 times i faced it.

Rants aside, i'm proud to say i have crammed in all the basic stuff (which i already have knowledge, but in English) which includes, News Writing, Broadcast Writing, Advertising(ok maybe not so much on advertising), and Traditional Media and Internet Media. All within the past few hours.

Despite the fact those are core-elements that we study and actually apply, the exam is completely different. It only affects the exam marks at a miniscule level.(Which might actually determine my grade a C- or C.)

25% would be random question from the whole syllabus we studied. Anything can come out. Short Answer. But the questions are so random, you won't know where to start. Prays to whichever god residing up there now to proc-crit-some-how-or-rather comes out with the core-elemets of Media writing. Tough luck with that thought.

25% would naturally be on News Writing, which despite the fact i do not have substantial amount of vocabulary in Chinese, i still can excel. No biggie here.

25% would be on editorial/opinion based writing. 600-farqing-words. The question is "un-spot-table", has a random factor of >9000, and the lecturer would not give a flying-farq-clue on what will be out.
i'm butt-farq-from-the-side-ways-with-my-pants-on.


25% is the last random thingy. It could be Short Essays, or it could be Letter Writing (i blardy hope), Report (i blardy hope) or whatever is in the lecturer's twisted and tormented mind.

There you what my encounter is.
My chips are already half-way through the table on media writing(whichever it is) to come out on essay. I might just as well play my hand till it ends.

From the past 2 examination, it has proven 5 more marks is all i need.
Five more freaking marks from whichever section.
Then 'puff',
Diploma, baby ....
